Our dyes have been formulated using the minimum pharmaceutical chemical ingredients which, balanced with vegetal extracts from plants and herbs creates a unique hair colour formula that not only gently colours your hair but protects and nourishes it.
No Ammonia
Specially formulated from herb extracts and proteins, our dyes use rosemary, cinchona and walnut husk, to gently deposit colour, achieving a natural, vibrant result for your hair
No Damage
Due to its unique composition, our dyes permanently colour hair without damage - resulting in a natural, subtle colour that not only looks great, but feel good time after time
Natural Gloss and Shine
Our dyes have a natural translucent property to enhance your hair with a light-reflecting, healthy shine; so they don’t create the 'block colour' look often associated with chemical colourants.
Grey Coverage
Our selection of natural hair dyes cover grey 100% on its first application. Some grey hair can be particularly resistant. However, using our salon’s professional experience you can be assured that the job is done to the highest level possible and the coverage will be as effective as wish.
Cancer treatment and hair colouring
The manufacturer of our hair dyes, ColourHerbe, have many customers who have had cancers and have used the colourants quite safely. We would not recommend use of permanent colours in these cases, but if you are determined to colour your hair it is far safer to use our dyes as they contain NO AMMONIA and deposit far less potentially hazardous substances into the blood system.
Pregnancy and permanent hair colours
Again, as with cancer sufferers Snip and Sip would not recommend the use of permanent hair colours while pregnant. However, many of our customer do use the colours in these instances. NO AMMONIA means far less of the product finds its way into they blood system.
Allergic reactions to hair dyes
We cannot stress enough how important it is to skin test prior to the colour treatment. Currently all permanent colours use permanent hair colour pigments called PPDs. These are an allergen and it is possible to develop an allergy to the pigments either the very first time you colour your hair or after many years. Skin Testing will give you the opportunity to test for any sensitivity at any time. Until an alternative to PPD colour pigments is found, this is the best way to safeguard yourself. If you have become allergic to PPDs, then do consider our true semi permanent colour range, which does not contain them. For more information please read this article.
